How do you spark trust with customers?
How do you start a relationship with a stranger?
Building trust with customers is an art. Learn some tips for sparking that trusting relationship from some of our beloved Bravado members.
[Topher] How do you go about sparking trust with these clients?
[Barry] I think it’s about being truthful I think it’s about partnering. I think it’s about giving them an out throughout the whole process. So if they feel uncomfortable that they can not continue the journey with you, right? Giving them an out in every single way. So it’s not like you’re force-feeding them.
[Ryan] We get to build relationships and make amazing things happen. Make sure that our customers, no matter how much they pay us, what they’re doing, that we’re not in it for the money, we’re in for their success and to make sure they get the most out of our platform.
[Antti] Know your business. Know what you’re talking about. Research the customer.
[Sahil] It’s all about building a connection on a personal level. Make them forget that they’re in a sales conversation. You’ve got to ditch the artificial construct of buyer and seller.
[Topher] If I’m a stranger, how do you break down that barrier?
[Ryan] Transparency and mutual accountability.
[Antti] The normal reaction to a salesperson is, ‘I don’t want to talk to you.’ If you have something of value if you research the company that they work for, their role. If you have information that’s useful for them. That is something that builds trustworthiness.
[Sahil] Here’s the thing. Who do I want to buy from? I want to buy from people that I like. Which restaurants do I want to go to? The ones that are staffed with people that are kind, who are respectful. People who care about my needs. People who make sure I have a great experience. It’s all about making the person feel like they’re talking to a friend.
