Annoyed with people telling you to change your Mindset? Here is how it works and Why you should listen.

If you go looking for reasons to believe you are a failure in sales you will find it.


Just like if you go looking for reasons to believe you are growing in sales you will also find it.


This is because our Mindset = a collection of beliefs, attitudes and opinions TOWARDS ourselves and our environment...


Shapes and influences our Perception = a collection of beliefs, attitudes and opinions ABOUT ourselves and our environment...


Our Mindset is saying:


"Hey brain... This is what I believe and what I like... now senses...sight, hearing, touch, smell and taste... go find these things in my environment and bring them to my attention..."


Example:


Mindset # 1 - "I love dogs"


Easy to pick out and perceive a dog on a busy street, because it is an enjoyable experience.


Mindset # 2 - "Dogs are dangerous"


Easy to pick out and perceive a dog on a busy street, because it is a threat you want to avoid.


Mindset # 3 - "I don't care about dogs - I like birds"


You probably won't even perceive the dog, but notice the bird flying through the air.


3 different mindsets... driving 3 different perspectives in exactly the same moment of time.


This is why simply changing your mindset from "This will be a bad day" to "This will be a good day" can improve Mental Health.

A glass half full mentality goes a long way. We are in control of our mindset and output. Don't let a bad call or day stop you from approaching things with a positive attitude.
