I like this thread and the point of views shared, thank you everyone for sharing your thoughts! What I heard everyone mention is the importance of being INCLUSIVE, of genders, backgrounds, ethnicity, cultures etc. the list is long! Some companies do a great job on being diverse and inclusive, others have some more reading and execution to work on.

It's time to give compassion.

I was a single parent when I began my career in sales. If I was told “no school for 2 weeks or a month” I would have been hard pressed- even if I was told to work from home. In addition to school, we dealt with after-school care and daycare in the early years.
