It's time to give compassion.

I was a single parent when I began my career in sales. If I was told “no school for 2 weeks or a month” I would have been hard pressed- even if I was told to work from home. In addition to school, we dealt with after-school care and daycare in the early years.

Here’s to some compassion & support for those who have kids to care for, or who have parents or grandparents to help - during this time. Reach out to me if I can be of specific support.

Well stated, Lori. The financial strain alone will wipe out some families already on the margin. I'm trying to think of fun online events for parents to help keep them entertained, keep the sanity of the adults. Some cannot work from home. They just won't work. Restaurants, service industries. It's a fragile situation.

YES! I'm planning to start all meetings (on camera) with a public service announcement that in addition to my dog barking, my three children may be in/out over the next few weeks. If only we could figure out a zoom waiting room for our kids to hang and video chat with the kids of the other parents in our meetings...

Agreed Lori! I'm hoping companies will realize the strain this situation puts on working parents and show compassion and provide support! Maria Tribble I love the idea of zoom rooms for kids!!!

These are difficult days for so many at different levels.  The challenges are for us to grow in humility and generosity.  We are in it together.  Today, March 15th, has been declared National day of prayer. Let’s all take a moment and trust that will overcome.
