Importing purchased prospect lists as contacts?
A bit off topic, but this discussion group is the first open forum I've found with a lot of great minds collaborating. I am curious how others are handling importing of purchased prospect lists e.g. DiscoverOrg, ZoomInfo.
Our Salesforce administrator said if we import the purchased prospect lists into Salesforce as contacts, then if those same prospects visit our website and download a marketing asset because they are already a contact in Salesforce, they will not show up as a new lead in our lead que and there is no alert of their current activity.
The Salesforce administrator's solution is for us to import the prospect list into Outreach. If they respond and agree to a meeting, at that time we are asked to upload the prospect to Salesforce as a lead and then convert into an Opportunity.
The downside to this is that the sales team and SDRs do not have a comprehensive view of the conversations going on within our accounts. (Only the SDRs use Outreach).
How are your organizations handing purchased prospect lists? How are you importing them in? and where are you importing them in?
