Generally no.  The case for it would be a visual standout that may encourage the reader to continue.  The case against it is general professionalism and the power of the message should be paramount.  However, if your ICP is a demographic that would be favorable to emjoi, it's not a bad idea. (Depending on the demographic).

I side with Michael. Comes off as too silly in my opinion.  I would think it would "go over" the best with a marketing or HR buyer, second with a sales buyer, third with a finance ICP, and least well with a highly technical buyer (CIO, CISO etc. ) But again, just my assumption and preference. Hope this helps!

It’s my understanding that some spam filters will eliminate emails with emojis in them, especially when they’re in the subject line. I’ll typically avoid emojis to keep a standard of professionalism, but if a client is using them I don’t see the problem with reciprocating.

This is a great question! I have to admit... I'm pretty biased toward not using an emoji in the subject line (makes it feel marketing-oriented rather than personal). I try to make my subject lines feel VERY similar to how I would write to a friend, whereas most sales reps' emails to me are obviously from salespeople because they are all capitalized... See more

I wouldn't use in the subject line, but sometimes use them in the body of the email. I try to get a feel for a prospect's personality based on their activity on LinkedIn or other channels.

Have you heard of Crystal before? It's an app that analyzes someone's LinkedIn and give a best guess personality type. I've been using that and would use emoji's only for someone who is more sanguine/influencer personality type.

I think emoji's could work for B2C, however, I do not want an emoji in an email about life insurance.  B2B, I would say never.  Agreed with Sahil, knowing your buyer is critical.

I see it recommended a lot on LinkedIn and in certain sales blogs, but I never have. As a customer, I'm flooded with them in my personal inbox all the time and in my opinion, they just appear "spammy".
