For my stoics out there:

Seneca told us; “never to trust prosperity, and always take full note of fortune’s habit of behaving just as she pleases, treating her as if she were actually going to do everything it is in her power to do.”

Written over 2,000 years ago and more applicable now than ever.

The economy was chugging along. Life was going well. We had travel plans. We had work plans. We had a sense for what we’d do next.

And then… bam. Here we are. Everything is changing and we're all racing to figure out what to do.

Lesson: The only constant is change.

The world is always teaching us.

The question is whether we’re open to learning.

I dig this ^.  Big fan of what Ryan Holiday writes about stoicism for anyone interested in a good book.

love this Ashley! Marcus Aurelius's Meditations is a great book with a number of themes taken from stoic philosophy. Highly recommend giving it a read!

I love that book. Also The Obstacle is the Way which basically breaks down Meditations.
