How do you handle prospecting emails, when you are not the right target for it?

When I receive a prospecting email and I'm not a target for it, I always reply (well almost always.... ) and I tell the person emailing me that I'm not a prospect for their product / service.

Then I wish them a great 'rest of the day or week. Sales can be a tough grind.

If the sender did really poor messaging I actually may not reply because there is so much automation happening I don't want to reply to bots all day long (although I probably do now) #BeKind #MakeSomeonesDay

I reply to the bots too, so it breaks their sequence and I stop getting email after chain email for something I don’t need! :)

I do the same thing quite often Lori. I will say, it's frustrating disappointing when I see people with such obviously bad intel that they are contacting me. In other words, no one did any research.

yea, I'm putting together a LinkedIn post, not to shame anyone (blacking out who's who, but sharing some super obvious points about LinkedIn outreach and will do another one on email outreach after that.

I have to admit I have little patience for this especially when it's obvious that I'm the wrong fit. For example when people want to help with my Dental practice, or when a sales expert cold calls me to offer to fix my selling process. There is no excuse for this non personalized approach with all the tools we have.
