Why is "Mental Health" still so taboo?

Especially in sales?

Sales is incredibly stressful. It's unpredictable. You face rejection every day.

To be 'good' means you're failing 70% of the time.

The pressure is always there. We are rarely allowed/able to 'unplug'

Vacation time is often frowned upon or hard to justify taking.

You're every moved is measured, judged, scored, put on a dashboard, and called out.

Yet when it comes to mental health, mindfulness, stress reduction, there is so little being done.

In fact, in a lot of ways it's almost frowned upon.

"You knew what you were getting into when you got into sales, either your cut out for it or you're not"

I don't think it should be that way, and neither does Jeff Riseley.

I had the pleasure of interviewing him on the Live Better. Sell Better. podcast and he did not disappoint.

This is a topic that needs to be openly talked about, and more companies and leaders need to try and o more here.

Remember, there is a 'person' in salesperson.

We can't forget to take care of that too.
