Right now its calling doctors offices, not knowing if a receptionist or the doctor will pick up and having two different scripts for the same opportunity because of this. Basically something i could say to both would be great.

Have two "scripts" handy.  You want to ensure the receptionist passes your information to the doc.  The receptionist doesn't care about your product.  The Doc does.  Your job is to make it easy for the receiving person to say "yes" to whatever the next step is.  Be especially respectful of the receptionist.  If you never get a call back, you won't ... Gotcha, so how much would you lead with a strong offer towards the receptionist. i think when ive gotten a call back from the doctor its been a semi warm call "we connected on linkedin about possibly getting more patients in a free 1 week trial".

Or would you just make it real simple like "reason for the call is i help chiropractors book committed ...

You could make sure you ask a question that only the Dr could answer. Something that your product or service addresses.

Really? so go into that "how many more patients can your practice manage before you would have to add staff, bring on a partner or build a new building?" i have had some receptionists be like "that would be a question for the doctor".

I like it...you're wrapping 2 responses into one. And yes - i think that's the kind of question that gets you to the DM/doc. Good luck

IMO the key is really finding any ways to make it a warmer call.  This is why direct sends, when done right, can be incredible.  Best warm intro you'll ever get from a cold call and find something that will stay on their desk.  One that works great is a piggy bank for loose change.

I'm not a big fan of 'following up with an email' as the first touch...

For me it is setting time to sit and make the calls. I love email, and am pretty active on LinkedIn, but find it tough to get motivated to block out time and call people. I know it is making an impression and that leaving a voicemail can be key, but being new to sales it is pretty nerve wracking even though I rarely get an answer.
