What's one thing you've been thinking about sharing, but you're holding back?

"You're just naturally comfortable speaking publicly about personal things. I could never do that."

I hear this all the time. And...nope.

Couldn't be further the truth.

5 years ago, I had my first neurology appointment to talk about my CMT the genetic degenerative neuropathy I've had my whole life.

And it was awful. I was a mess afterwards.

So I wrote a blog post about it. Mostly because I needed a way to process the pain I was experiencing.

I didn't think anyone would read it.

But suddenly my inbox was flooded with messages from people saying: "Thank you" and "Me too" and "I have something similar I never talk about. I feel less alone now."

It's taken me years to get to this point of being comfortable being uncomfortable talking about hard things.

But every time I push my personal envelope, I am astounded by the reaction, the support, and the connection.

It takes work. But it's worth it.

What's one thing you've been thinking about sharing, but you're holding back?

Can you push yourself to take one small step further?
