Yesterday was the first time in what felt like 15 years I spent my mom's birthday with her.
At 15 I left my mom's house, and by 18 I was living on my own working in sales supporting myself and GF.
I've always believed work was my #1 calling in life as it would be the gateway to true freedom.
Lately, I've realized this was wrong, and I should have prioritized family. It's a hard lesson but better late than never.
Work is important, but what is the point if we don't have family there for us when we clock out?
