Pros
-Easy job. Smile and dial, set 7 meetings a week. While this might sound boring/difficult.. this is a GREAT stepping stone to get used to cold calling and setting meetings
Cons
TERRIBLE PAY. My base was 32k and the commission structure was paid out WEEKLY, so it was VERY HARD to get to accelerators. You also don't get any commission UNTIL you hit a certain number for the week. Dumb.
About the culture
Paylocity likes to bring a "family' like atmosphere, lots of games, outing, etc.. but honestly this DOES NOT make up for the TERRIBLE PAY. Seriouslly, these guys are paying WAY BELOW MARKET.
Advice for New Reps
If you HAVE to get an SDR positon, do this for a year. I did and I landed a 6 figure AE gig outside of the company.
