Pros
Great Team and Executive staff that removes barriers in the Sales Cycle. Everyone is super friendly and the culture is one of inclusion and Customer-centricity. SVP of Sales is a rockstar and has a presence in any conversation. The Platform is easy to learn and full of functionality. We have great documentation to read up on.
Cons
As with all growing companies we experience Growing Pains. You have to be self-motivated to learn and listen to others as opposed to comprehensive onboarding training. There are a lot of new people looking to figure out the product and proper process. There are some cliques, but that is slowly fading as new hires come in.
About the culture
Two of my favorite core pillars of Recurly are "Own the Outcome" and "Get $hit Done" I believe it summarizes our culture pretty well. As we strive to be the best and move at light speed we also have a culture of accountability to make sure we are grounded and have honest conversations about what is working and what is not. Also, the Company has changed from an engineering culture to a Sales culture with an emphasis on bringing in revenue.
Advice for New Reps
Find a knowledgeable buddy who is willing to show you the ropes and humble yourself until you start showing signs of success. There is a lot of material to consume within your first 2 weeks, so make sure you are ready to digest it and retain it. You can always reach out to teammates for help as well.
