Key Responsibilities
- Identify, prospect, and close new business opportunities with high-value clients. Manage the entire sales cycle, from lead generation to negotiation and contract closure.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key stakeholders at prospective and existing accounts. Act as a trusted advisor, understanding clients’ needs and aligning solutions to address their challenges.
- Gather and analyze feedback from customers to identify trends, pain points, and opportunities. Provide actionable insights to the product and marketing teams to shape the company's offerings and strategies.
- Develop and execute sales strategies tailored to target industries or market segments. Create and refine sales processes and tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Work closely with the founders, product, and marketing teams to align on go-to-market strategies. Share customer feedback to influence product roadmaps and ensure market fit.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and meetings. Act as an ambassador for the brand, educating potential clients about the value of the product or service.
- Build and document scalable sales processes, including CRM management, lead qualification, and pipeline reporting. Lay the foundation for future sales team growth by mentoring new hires and setting performance benchmarks.
- Be a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment. Take ownership of key deals and strategic initiatives that can shape the company’s trajectory.
Minimum Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of successful B2B sales experience, preferably in SaaS, fintech, or a related industry. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a high-growth or startup environment.
- Familiarity with the target industry, such as financial services, compliance, or technology. Understanding of regulatory challenges and the ability to communicate value propositions tailored to the industry.
- Strong knowledge of the full sales cycle, including prospecting, qualifying, pitching, negotiating, and closing deals. Skilled at using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) to manage pipelines and track performance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex solutions simply and persuasively. Ability to build relationships with C-suite executives and decision-makers.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous startup environment. Self-motivated, resourceful, and able to work independently with minimal guidance.
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally with product, marketing, and other teams to align sales strategies with company goals. Strong teamwork skills, including the ability to share customer insights and contribute to the development of the go-to-market strategy.
- Ability to analyze customer needs and craft solutions that align with their goals and challenges. Strong business acumen to identify opportunities and risks.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Familiarity with sales automation tools, analytics platforms, and communication software. Comfortable understanding and discussing technical products or solutions.
- Alignment with the company’s mission and values. Willingness to take on responsibilities beyond the sales role in the early stages of the company
