My company is bleeding talent and I am looking as well...just taking my time. I'm engaging with one company at a time and being picky about comp packages/digging pretty hard for red flags. Meanwhile I've maintained top of the leaderboard status at my current gig so I'm not forced into a PIP situation where I NEED the new gig.
My manager must have a sixth sense something is up because the last two 1:1s have turned into him talking about how lots of reps have left and he wouldn't blame me for looking too. Then it turns into a someone needy/desperate pitch on why I should stay at the company. It's exhausting to sit there for a full hour and not let slip I'm interviewing externally plus the way he talks about how a job is about more than money is really grinding my gears. WHY DO WE WORK IF NOT TO MAKE MONEY. Anyway...tips for not slipping up?
