WR has opened my eyes as to what is normal and what is not normal/ok treatment from management.

I’ve learned some really helpful tips on job search and interviewing which actually helped me land my current job.
I have also learned I need to take everything I hear in here with a grain of salt because there is a ton of unqualified advice being offered.
Finally, SDRs seem much more miserable now than they did when I first started in sales. Idk if people are too sensitive, lazy, or companies are genuinely fucking people over, but damn.

Not sure if you're asking @BigMeech or myself this one (he probably has better advice TBH) - but I looked within my network and brainstormed the best possible places for me to go. Listed the positives and negatives of each, and got the names of a few who were top of the food chain in most of them.
I was not given a referral to the firm I landed at (though it was #1 on my list), but I straight up cold called someone who vaguely knew who I was and pitched some business referrals to them. I let them ask if I was happy at my firm and would consider leaving. Obviously I replied HELL YES and here I sit today.......
Also - it helped that I built up my network of well respected people in my industry which I could name drop as references.

WR has reinforced the ideology of loyalty to self above loyalty to any organization which has been refreshing to hear. I've appreciated the communities encouragement to others who are being underpaid to search for greener pastures at other organizations that recognize their value.

And mentality! Going for a freeforall to structure gives you peace of mind and you dont have to look over your shoulder every 10 seconds.
I'll go first. The number 1 thing I have learned is how valuable a community actually is. Just knowing that all you have or are going through the same BS that I have been through at some point in time. Didn't realize that this type of environment would actually add a lot to my life.
Ive learned that all SaaS companies are the same. Sales functions are the same, issues we deal with are the same, complaints all the same.

The recommendations I could find and played with them so i could figure out how to gain org info quickly, log activity and set follow up/cadence items, input notes and the info gained from champions or whoever answers questions, all by using free tools that were recommended on here.
Apollo, lusha, hunter.io, miEdge, excel spreadsheets, crayons, tears and hopes and dreams.
Crayons and tears are my favorite. The tears don't smudge the writing like it does with ink!

as someone new to closing, it’s nice to hear success stories and also fail stories from sales vets.
I also like to ask really specific questions about my process that relate to deals I’m currently working to get another perspective, since I really only get feedback from my sales manager and we have really different styles.
Always good to have 3rd party say. Might bring in a new perspective to help out.
