10th interview on Tuesday

Good afternoon! I have run my own thing for 20+ years, and I am on a few boards. But I have suffered a few setbacks that have left me wanting to be client side. A few months ago, I started floating resumes. I got picked up by 1 company and have had 9 interviews. Tuesday, I have the final interview. 30 minutes with the CEO. I should take this as a good sign, right? Anything I need to consider?

When I read the title, I figured there's NO WAY that could be for one company.

What's the role!?

And it's a good sign in terms of their process, but the fact that a company has this process would give me some pause/concern.

10 interview for 1 job. Damn, am I the only one who think that sounds ridiculous?

Thatโ€™s crazy - may be hiring manager needs too much validation

They donโ€™t even do that many interviews for a Supreme Court justice

Interview order:
Recruiter, Jr person, Sr. Person-all virtual. Onsite, 3.5 hour marathon session with one person every 30 minutes-various product owners. Finally, now the CEO. They have 2000 employees.

What kind of role is this. Seems very excessive.

Ok, I guess for a high position like that you should expect a rigorous process but still. Not sure how much more you can consider, but would definitely take the interview with the CEO as a good sign. I doubt he/she would use time if they donโ€™t feel youโ€™re a good fit. Donโ€™t forget to close him/her.

Just saw this, that explains it a bit better. BUT still seems excessive, though I admittedly don't have any experience in anything like that.

Best of luck!

Do I think 10 is extreme yes, but if you meet with the CEO it tells me you are in a good spot. What role are you interviewing for the requires so many interviews?

Interview with CEO is a good thing. Whatโ€™s the size of company ? Decision might already have been made , It may probably be brag factor interview for CEO - โ€œI have personally Interviewed first x hundred people in companyโ€

That's a CRAZY amount of interviews... Why do they have 10 separate steps?
I don't know of anyone who would tolerate such a process.

I interviewed with him. He showed up 10 minutes late. I sent a thank you note afterwards, and he sent a Nice to meet you (with nothing else, not even my name or punctuation). I sent 3 follow up emails to the recruiter over a 18 day period. I finally heard back. They are moving forward with another candidate. Total time spent interviewing? 3 months. Nuts. If anything, the whole process gave me a real insight into their culture, and I don't think it was for me.
