A deal you would unclose?

Savages- I haven't seen this post anywhere but somebody call me on it if we've done this before.

Do any of you have a deal that looking back that you would go back and unclose for any reason? I'm thinking along the lines of you feel sketchy about it now, the product didn't work as it should and caused problems, the company you sold to was unethical, etc.

I remember one project that I sold to a wine retailer. Turns out our plug-in for point of sale stopped working and nobody bothered to tell the sales team. Made 20% of what those guys bought unusable indefinitely. That one still bothers me today.

I've got one. Basically, the customer doesn't ever want to talk to the account manager so he constantly calls me and emails me. I can't get him to figure it out!!

Yeah there are so many clients I wish I could go back and make the deal disappear. In some cases we actually have canceled the customer.

Currently working with a client that has closed and they’re now dictating how they want to implement our systems. Brah, that ain’t how it works. Mostly because the way they’re demanding implementation is not physically possible😂

My first deal at my current company. The client brought in a ball buster of a procurement guy who beat the living hell out of us. I was strongly against it (and pretty much had no say at the end) because we wanted my first deal and the logo because it was a fairly good company. Turns out in the end, we can't even use the logo in our marketing efforts.

I once sold to a guy that sewed the company right after. Now 3 years later they are still in a legal battle. I already work somewhere else.

I once made a mistake selling to a company that we were not allowed to sell to because they were blacklisted by the government. Luckily nobody ever noticed.

As a BDM I was a pure hunter and could only sell into a company once. I sold an account for far too small a deal for it being a big company. I regret not pushing for a bigger deal.

I sold to a old guy that doesn’t know how to use technology and blows up my phone when he doesn’t get a email response in 30 seconds.
