Same - hurts because I like that cocky bastard but his head is not in the game anymore. Too many scandals. He needs to retire.

Samir Nasri. He is a French football that was supposed to be a soccer star like his teammate Benzema, but his lack of discipline got him.

As for basketball, Derrick Rose. His injuries ruined him. Poor guy, he had it all.

Samir Nasri and for me Hatem Ben Arfa

Derrick is still youngest mvp, still legend!

I was going to include Ben Arfa because they were the trio with Benzema, but then I thought Nasri was a bit more of a star than Ben Arfa because he played at bigger clubs earlier in his career. But you're right, Ben Arfa too.

Legend is a big word; I think he could have been one. However, before his injury, he was a legend.

Um, Benzema lacks all discipline and should be in jail so I'm not sure that was the factor that got Nasri.

Feel like Balotelli might belong in that category. Huge potential, no discipline.

JJ Watt. One of my favorite defensive guys to watch over the past decade or so, but his prime is behind him.

Dwight Freeney was a beast in his prime, but it felt like towards the end of his career he faded so quickly.

It was pretty wild to just see it go downhill in the last couple of years in Indy, and then basically flame out during his time in Arizona and Atlanta.

Any player that starts using drugs goes on that list for me.

*spoiler alert* - they all do. There's lots of performance enhancing substances which are untestable and/or approved for use with medical exemption. Like I had a waiver for Adderall from the OAC. You can't tell me that isn't performance enhancing. Same with Valium.

Anyone who was a very bright star, then "something happened" - the "something" was that the drug they were using became testable.

yeah, it sucks but if they abuse the substance than their carrer is over!

No. If they’re big enough then they have whole teams on payroll to find the next big thing.

BTW. - there are performance enhancers that aren’t substance based. Like EMSculpt and good old iodine blisters (but fuccckkkkk you’re hardcore if you do that. Blood flow resistance bands too.

It's sh*tty to say it but Roger Federer probably deserves a spot in here. Truly one of the greatest ever but his level at Wimbledon was shaky at best. Hopefully he can turn it around...

The french are pretty difficult. They prefer the deal with french people and always buy from french companies if possible.
