A Web3 executive shares 3 Branding Hacks!

I’ve spent the last 6 years in Web3/ NFTs/cryptocurrency. We have seen a lot of companies come and go and the single thing that separates the successful companies from the failed ones is Branding.

The way you position yourself in your target market’s eyes is everything. Marketing and sales efforts are for short term results but your reputation and how you go about adding value determines the results you get from your energy.

In a world where everyone is an expert how do you stand out from the crowd? And once you do get the attention of your target market how do you add enough value to get the results?

Branding - One branding hack is to be the first to do something. If you can hold that number one place in your target’s mind you will be the topic of their next conversation! Fender was the first one to amplify the guitar! That was so powerful that they were able to move into making guitars.

Another hack is to own a word in the client’s mind. Mercedes owns the word “prestige”. I guarantee everyone who drives a Mercedes resonates with that word.

Lastly, Appearance! Appeal to your target market by looking the part. The colors you use the logo you use and the story you tell will go a long way in positioning yourself with your target market.

I hope you found value! Let me know if you did! Appreciatively, Neil

Hey Neil - this is a great place to be anonymous and ask for advice and provide advice when it’s solicited. It’s NOT LinkedIn.
People who try to create their own brands here are often shouted down quickly.

And please, if it's a hot take you want to deliver, please make it your own. The "Be First" part? #1 Immutable Law of Marketing. Yeah, I read it. Published 1994.

Not sure if there's a forum for marketing professionals similar to Bravado for sales people, but you might want to seek that out.
