Accessories, watches, what do you wear?

I've been thinking about upping my accessory game looking into a Garmin watch's. Who has the best pro look? Rings, Bracelets, necklaces? Let's hear it.

Do you think its important from a clients perspective?

The only thing I've worn the last year is my fox necklace (it never comes off) and a black elastic hair band on my wrist. Before I always wore a rose gold watch and a couple of Yurman bracelets. Minimal and classy.

I have nothing against smart watches. I simply do not wish to be that connected. I also don't want any distractions in front of a client.

Garmins are pretty awesome too, especially if you're active, the forerunner 945 LTE is a solid one.

I have a black and gold Seiko watch that I wear very often...it's simple and goes with everything. I also wear earrings every day and often, a necklace. Not really a ring fan until I get engaged and have a big ass rock to show off. ;)

Jewlery/accessories help to make someone look more polished and put together. The key is to not overdo it. I don't suggest wearing recognizable high end brands like Rolex or Cartier unless you're meeting with high net worth individuals who also wear these things.

In most cases, men should stick to a watch and a wedding band. Anything over and above can look eccentric and odd to a lot of people. Women can get away with more, but I still suggest keeping it simple - a pair of stud or hoop earrings, a thin chain bracelet, simple necklaces...your accessories should compliment your look, not be the focus of it.

fair point for sure, I don't even wear my wedding band to be honest just the shared necklace that breaks into 4 pieces, one for my wife and one for each kid, just been thinking i "need" a legacy item and who i am doesn't scream Rolex but def hi end utility, thanks for the insight, good luck on the big rock!

Shared necklaces - cute!

You only need a legacy item if you want one. ;) A legacy item can also be something for the house like a piece of art...doesn't have to be an ostentatious watch or other piece of jewelry. Do what makes sense for your vibe and family.

I have the Garmin S10 Approach (golf watch)  It looks sharp on client calls and more importantly it tells me how far I am from the flag, to the back and front of the green, and tracks my scores, handicap, and some other stats, highly recommend buying it when it occasionally goes on sale from 149.99 to 99.99

How does this give urgency?

As a salesman I'm always torn between the simple (personal style and it doesn't show that I'm making a ton off of their deals) and the fancy (could convey that I'm successful, but it could also show that a lot of what they're paying for is my lifestyle)

I have a couple of high-end watches that I bought for myself over the last few years - a Submariner, Speedmaster, and Grand Seiko. However, I find myself wearing a $50 timex on a nylon strap more than any of those.

I never take off my diamonds. Ever. However, I have to cover up pretty much all skin because of the tats so bracelets and watches wouldn’t be visible anyway. I also only have one ear pierced so that’s a little too weird with just one earring.

If I’m in person- I’ll wear a watch and a ring and a set of basic earrings (nothing dangly).  If I’m selling in the south or Midwest (I travel), I will wear a flag pin on my blazer/cardigan.  If I’m anywhere north or west coast, I don’t!!!

Not much of an accessory person, but I do fancy my watches. Been pondering the idea of a smartwatch for some time, but I just enjoy the classic analog watch all too much. Currently rocking a Shinola Runwell with the Green dial and I love it. The Shinola rebrand has a lot of great stuff, I recommend giving them a look

Shinolah is a great company, great leather goods and watches, think greatest groomsman gifts of all time. Most of their watches are going to be quartz movement meaning battery powered. Way more accurate than automatic watches but not watch you may go with if you’re into the engineering part watches and their complications.

Owned by Fossil now, but it was the old shoe polish company from the early 20th century. Purchased and rebranded as a watch manufacturer. They have a plethora of other designer-style items as well, but the watches they make are great. They are simple and old-fashioned. Definitely give them a peak

Not a big deal, but slight misconception. Shinola was founded by one of the ex Fossil founders. So a lot of similarities but not owned by each other. Fossil does however manufacture loads of watches for other brands like Armani, Michael Kors, and Tommy Hilfiger.

I am new to the watch game but I have my Tag Formula one and an automatic Hamilton with a leather strap that I switch between - but then I have my whoop on my other wrist which kind of ruins the classy look. I have two mala bead bracelets that I use on that wrist to spice things up abit

I'm enjoying it - the sleep stats are neat and force me to get to bed at a regular time. I have only had it a month now so I have not been able to test the strain/recovery functions as much with the restrictions. But gyms and organized sports are opening up again so it's neat to see those stats as well. Only complaint is that it shows me how negatively I'm actually affected by a night of partying.

Used to rock MVMT watches. I liked them. Inexpensive and clean but got an Apple Watch and never went back.

Got a silver chain with an Irish coin necklace as a gift that I wear everyday now. Dont think it makes a difference to clients but as they say, "Look good, feel good, sell good"
