Then bring it up to your manager and have them speak with the AM or the AMs manager. You gotta do your job, and if they are making that difficult then it has to be nipped in the bud.

Edit: if you haven't already tried to communicate this directly in a constructive way, try that first.ย

Why are you involving the AMs in the process?ย 

I guess it could be different from how we do things but we donโ€™t pass anything along to the AMs until the deal has been signed and they are doing onboarding.ย

Ahhh that makes sense. This can be very difficult. I hate doing upsells and renewals for this specific reason. Let me focus on prospecting and pulling in new customers where I can be there only contact and there isn't anyone else to ruin anything.

I'd let them join all meetings, including the internal strategy meetings. Let them feel like they are part of the process. Also the hand off will be smoother.
