Acquisition Advice for SDR?

Need some advice here savages. Today, my company got acquired. Not a direct competitor to us but a company that'll roll us into their line of products. Management has told us, that as part of the deal, everyone gets to keep their jobs. The acquisition will be complete sometime in July.

I've only been at this company for 3 months as an SDR so I'm nervous about the change. Not sure what comes next, but if anybody has been through this and can provide advice, it'd be much appreciated!

I survived 18 months post acquisition as a BDR at my first start-up. Was promoted to a MM AE role about 6 months in, then decided to move back into smaller start-ups again. It's an opportunity to see how a company can scale, so I'd stick it out and learn from the experience!

Update your resume yes but stick it out. You could be promoted or you could be let go with a small severance. I'd stick it out and see what happens.

Update the resume and stick it out as best you can. I was in the same boat a few years back, somehow got a raise and moved to an AE role within a year. Lasted another 4 before they sunset the software. Others on my team we not as lucky. Good luck!

Call me what you want, just sign the damn contract
I would argue that your resume should generally be updated every quarter when you're more junior (and not stored on your work laptop). There's no need to rush. SDRs in general are easy to roll over and they could easily reassign you. And on the off-chance your head gets lopped off, you won't have much trouble finding a new gig.

TL;DR You're fine, stay.
