AE, 175k+ income w no travel? Uhm..

With covid travel restrictions going bye-bye, I'm NOT looking forward to traveling, not because of covid, but because I hate it.

Are any AE's making good money (175k+ ote) with no travel?

If so, are you willing to share?

Depends where you are based. Our SMB team makes between $110-$140k OTE but MM in SF is $160-$200k OTE. No travel

Are you trying to avoid overnight travel specifically? Most of my colleagues have Ts within 2-3 hours driving, but we're still virtual for at least another 6 months and most are making great money.

Be an AM if you wanna hang out at home all day and never go anywhere. Once you hit AE and up, you are always travelling.ย

If you can hit your number without traveling your management won't be mad -- saves the company T&E expenses.ย

I think you'll find more "static" roles in Commercial/midmarket type teams that Strat/Enterprise. If you have a handful of accounts, you will travel.

if you have hundreds you will travel only occasionally

Customers are getting more comfortable signing significant contracts without in-person meetings and through covid remote project kickoffs and discovery sessions happened virtually. I expect that to be somewhat sticky and my travel will probably not increase beyond pre-covid levels for a while.

When applications (credit cards, apartment, etc.) ask how much you make, what do you put? Just your base? Total OTE? Somewhere in the middle?
