Air travel sucks right now

On hold with Concur (and have been for 40 minutes) because my cross country flight has been cancelled, and I was put on a completely unsatisfactory replacement itinerary.

And I can tell my return leg will also be cancelled, because it too is a Max 9.

Air travel is BORKED.

If you have upcoming travel...check your aircraft. Don't be me.

It’s ok. Sorted it out. Cancelled original flight for free, rebooked with another carrier with slightly better times. No nonstops though, which was 100% the reason for the initial itinerary. But - those are flown by the Max 9…which are still grounded. Sigh.

Yah, travel sucks right now. I flew this week and had big delays each way - mechanicals. Not much one can do but suck it up.

Not yet! I depart tomorrow. SFO at 6 am for the pleasure of arriving at MIA around 9 pm. Then the reverse on Friday, except I get back home after midnight Saturday. Blech.
That is IF everything goes without a hitch. We'll see!

I can book direct. What I have liked about Concur in the past has been proactive assistance. That’s now lacking, so no point in using the service.
I was simultaneously waiting for a United agent and that request literally timed out. They had rebooked me automatically into SFO-IAD-MIA, but I’d have been arriving around midnight, so I tried to adjust online to SFO-ORD-MIA and somehow ended up with that itinerary outbound plus the IAD-MIA leg, which was obviously going to cause issues. Then I checked my return flight MIA-SFO, still scheduled, but also Max 9. Saw the writing on the wall, found a better Delta itinerary, and dealt with it.

Zero agent help available. Concur did pick up after 30 minutes, but the call dropped.

I too work from home - in what was formerly known as field sales. I will admit, I’ve gotten very used to not traveling for work. Pretty comfortable in my own chair. Too comfortable.
