First self-sourced deal as an AE. Needless to say I'm pretty happy about this finally coming through.
Initial cold call was back in April, and connected with their VP Of Engineering. He let me know they were in the middle of a product launch and would have to wait until after. During that time I connected with a few other stakeholders within the company to get an idea of the problems they were facing.
Fast forward to May, first discovery with VP of Engineering. I was able to come to the table with information on their problems and the processes surrounding them. Already having internal relationships was beneficial in overcoming hurdles from a previous unhappy user. He quickly looped in a few senior counterparts and we hit it home during the demo portion.
Decent deal for SMB and a solid 2-year deal. Really excited about this one and was the most complex and fun deal I've run to date. On to the next one!
