Almost Canceled

Skipped about 4 hours of WFH to drive to Dallas for a wedding. Wedding was at 530, had a discovery (intro) call at 4 with a $8B company. Wasn’t going to skip it.

First thing out of my mouth was, “Do people notice your background?” Me, leaning back proudly, hears my prospect say, “Uh, do you mean my ethnicity?”

Needles to say I laughed hard. Was this as funny as I thought? Was is worth writing all this while alone in my studio? Help.
