I've done this. It can work if the person you're looking for is dodging you. You call someone else that works here and pull the "oh sorry, is this not Bobs extension? Would you mind forwarding me to him?". They do it, and he first sees their name on his phone so he picks up.


Not the first tactic I'll use, but it's down the list somewhere.
