Am I doing this right?

Hello, I am sending out cold emails to architect firms, trying to offer them my marketing services.

I am sending them a sequence of emails.

My plan is to give them value for 2 weeks straight, teach them how to market their firm themselves, and then, pitch them my offer.

Does giving them knowledge for 2 weeks actually work, or am I just wasting my time?

You need to give them a reason to meet with you if that's your goal. Why you, why your product, why now.

1. there is so much content on here about cold emailing. I would highly recommend using the search bar to look for it as well as hitting the academy tab.

2. How often are you emailing them over the course of those 2 weeks? Every day? every other day? once a week? Personally, I email once per week for 3 weeks. This works pretty well for me but results vary by industry.

3. How long are the emails? They should be short and concise. no one wants to read a long email from you. There's been a ton of research on what the ideal length of an email is. Again, hit the search bar and I'm sure you'll find a post on it here.

4. Keep the emails simple. My first email is the following:

Hey first name,

I'm _____ and I'm reaching out to you from _____. We do _____ for more than half of fortune 10 and Fortune 500 companies. Just wanted to reach out and get some time on your calendar to discuss. Thanks, ______

Email 2: Hey first name, just following up on my last email to see if you have any interest in discussing x, y, z. Let me know when you have a few minutes free and I'll send an invite over.

Email 3: first name, I'm sure you're busy and its easy to get side tracked. I wanted to reach out one last time to see if you had any interest in discussing the topics from my previous email. I've got time available late next week if that works for you.

Emails 2 and 3 are all replying to the thread created by email 1.

This entire email strategy goes against the "correct" way sales influencers and marketing people say you're supposed to do it. But everyone on my team does it the "correct" way. And I'm number one on my team with more than double the numbers of the guy in 2nd place. So do with that what you will.

Unless you know engineers, owner reps, or developers, you are probably just pissing into the wind here.

I agree with @FinanceEngineerunless you have somewhat of a connection with them, they are probably going to skip over what you have to say.

giving them knowledge is part of it. But i think you need to share you point of view on marketing, and have a reason to connect. if you just give them info but ask for nothing in return, you will get nothing in return.

you DO need to be consistent and send multiple emails though.

1. what is your point of view
2. why are you better than EVERYONE ELSE
3. what is your ask/call to action?

hey thanks for this! I am sending them multiple emails now. 5x a week for 3 weeks. I am sending them tutorials etc. on how to market their firm, and I always try to say something that they've never heard before. I'm just a little anxious with my emails because after giving them a lot of knowledge, I always struggle to try to pitch them something. And, is 5x a week for 3 weeks a lot?

yes. 5x a week for 3 weeks is an insane amount. Do you have any insight if they are actually opening any of the emails? have you tried calling them as well as emailing them?

Yes I know if they open the email or not. I actually have a pretty decent open rate. Sometimes, I will send out 20 emails, and like 17 of them would be opened. But the problem is that I get 0 responses. Like literally 0 responses throughout my career. Not even a "No" from them.

so this tells me that you have a good email subject line but the content is missing.

i cant tell you if the content isnt landing or if the call to action is bad. but i would spend time evaluating if the main message of the emails is relevant enough to the person you are sending it too

Whats the main reason you are giving them 2 weeks? Are they asking for time?
