We are very inclusive and accommodating for people who can produce. Outside of that I would say I definitely run a hostile work environment.

I think it may be more of an industry specific thing rather than generational. Iโve had to do paperwork on people 25+ years older than me who I suppose thought tenure was a thing in finance. Absolutely. If Iโm still working past 55 out of necessity then something has gone terribly wrong. I canโt imagine going to work every day at a job that I used to love and have success in, resenting every day, when I should be sailing with my family or doing whatever else.

They want to collect diversity data in a non intrusive way. Also, they may be working on initiatives to make their workplace more accommodating. Good for them for asking, in my opinion.
Point well taken. But sales ability and sexual preference are not the least bit connected. To me, the way one identifies has zero bearing on their ability to sell. And is the data actionable? Will they hire a non-binary over a hetero solely for purposes of achieving diversity?
