Any Canadian digital nomads in here?

My husband and I are Canadian citizens, and we're wanting to travel while we work. Has anyone gotten their bosses on board with something like this? I'm under the impression that if I leave the country for 7 months, I'm no longer a resident, and that might cause issues for me or the company I work for.

Not Canadian, but have done this with the boss's consent since I work from home. As long as you put your hours in, I don't see the issue. Good luck!

Where did you read that if you leave the country for 7 months, you will no more a resident? Validate your impression in www.canada.ca where you can find every travel related info.

Better to communicate with your workplace to understand what they allow and not.ย

Call me what you want, just sign the damn contract
At least in the US, you would be able to maintain residency. I think you should be fine. Does your company have counsel you could ask? Normally companies don't give a shit.
