There's been a lot of talk of hobbies and side hustles, but I want to know who's dabbling in day trading and the stock market?

From what I understand, day trading is not something you can do when you feel like it/as a side gig. Successful day traders WORK at day trading 8+ hours a day. That's why I never bothered looking into it.

Studies have shown that 80-90% of PROFESSIONAL day traders lose money. If you're looking for a good way to stress yourself out and lose money, have at it! I'd be happy to compare my returns dollar-cost averaging into low-cost Vanguard ETFs with any part-time day traders.ย

Call me what you want, just sign the damn contract
I was going to post this as well. You also can't just compare wins/losses but actually beating the market. I think it's fine to place bets on companies you believe in or build up dividend portfolios.

Great point. The best comparison I've heard is that day trading is like sports gambling. Pretty hard to make money off it consistently, but can be fun if you don't go overboard.ย

My plan is to stick witb funds using etorro meaning that instead of spending in any particular company, oll be spending in industries. As for which in particular I don't know yet

I would argue that most company mottos/values/etc are a bunch of bullshit. But yeah, I would've been about that at 25. I'm not about that kind of place at all now.
