Any folks out here prospecting/have a global territory

Hey Savages,

I come seeking advice.

Recent gig I started has me chasing a nice sized TAM but its global.

Obviously this brings some new challenges with regards to the prospecting/outbound methodology peeps use.

Priority for myself is LATAM/Africa/APAC so not quite yellow page central like UK/USA

Any recommendations?

I used to have a global territory and it’s hard. There is really no easy button for prioritizing, at least until you understand where your product tends to have the best fit. Our product, for example, is a great fit for many European companies. Therefore, I prioritized European companies and would start as early as possible in my day to hit ad many of those companies as I could, and left Pacific time/later time zones on the back burner.

Hmm, does your current tactic work in your current / previous territories? If so, try that? If that doesn’t work just test and try and fail to see what does. I can’t give much advice as I sell into Europe but trial and error works well!

I came here to say A/B testing so I'm glad we are on the same track.  I can imagine getting lost in the weeds prospecting for international clients.

We be out here A/B testing, just starting from a baseline of 0 as outbound is a new concept to these guys.

Multivariate testing.. do you have any intelligence report that can give some insights on where you can target first (sales history for similar products)?

I cover N&S America and some places in Europe, not global but I'm rarely stuck for someone to call. Tell me this:

Are you B2C or B2B?
What type of product/service is it?
Do you already have resellers/channel sales teams in place anywhere?
Would you consider using channel sales (as opposed to direct sales)?
