Mormons are great sales reps. Nobody gets the door slammed in their face as much as a Mormon does and continues to prospect like they do. Props to you for slingin' the words of Joseph Smith.

I sold pest control door to door with my mormon buddy right after college in Louisiana and Tennessee (not ideal places to walk thru neighborhoods all day in August). His wife and his baby also lived with us. Interesting experience as I was just weeks out of my heathen college days.

He sold pest control with me and killed it. He had been on his mission already so I mean, if you've sold religion door to door, you can probably convince somebody that their neighborhood is having a wasp problem.

My partner comes from a Jehovah's Witness family. He and his nephew both went into sales for the same reason. 

They already had YEARS of experience having doors slammed in their faces for free. At least now they could get paid for it.

Mormons are the best salesmen in the US. Sales and persistence is a part of their culture. That's why the smartest firms have their sales offices in Salt Lake City.

Did the two year mission thing. About a year was in San Antonio, the other in Austin. Got fluency in spanish out of the gig. I refer to it now as my two year mormon radicalization. Definitely helps with the sales profession.
