Any real estate sales magicians in here? 🏠

Hi guys!

I'm gonna be recruiting my sales representative for incoming home buying/renting leads.

Despite tone of experience in the real estate sector I am eager to learn from experienced realtors (if anyone here) - what are the key profile elements you pay the biggest attention to while hiring fresh realtors?

There are plenty of magicians during the bull market in real estate lol. but nobody (who does not try to sell you his bull***t course or a book) that I remember of.

I can coach just about anything except a fire in the belly. You have to have passion for sales, this business, etc. It will make you curious, you'll want to learn more, do more, and act more.

Integrity - saying what you'll do and doing what you say are the same.

If it's for Realtors and not onsite sales, I'd defer to grit. This is a hard business. Sales is hard. You get rejected a lot, and most people don't have the stamina for it. You don't want to put a lot of effort into training a Realtor for them to decide they won't stick with it. I've met many Realtors who describe their job as anything other than sales. This means they've got a bad impression of salespeople somewhere deep down. It'll be hard for them to continue to do something incongrous.

10 years in real estate sales here - from my experience its about the drive. I think solar / hot water tank salesmen would be best suited for real estate since they have the drive and thick skin from all the doors being slammed in their faces
