Any recs for sales trainers that are actually good?

Looking to bring in a trainer to help our new outbound SDR team. I've had sandler, richard harris, and valueselling in the past and they all seemed to overpromise and underdeliver. Looking for someone who's going to cater their training to our use case of breaking into the F500 with a SAAS product. Not really into the whole social selling thing, but we do leverage linkedin.

Has anyone had sales training where they genuinely enjoyed the experience?

There's a Gong SDR that's been on the job for two days that is definitely well qualified to coach your team on closing high ticket deals. They might even sing you a song. Look into it.

If anybody tells you that sitting in a conference room with tables full of your peers for two days is enjoyable, they are lying.

There are things to glean from sales training, and there are elements of applicability, but nobody comes out like a Tony Robbins fanatic in my experience.

Sales training is employed by sales management so that all reps have a common language, report on deal progress in a defined and theoretically consistent way, and have at least some shared knowledge, regardless of where they are in their career path or what they have leveraged in the past.

You might want to start with the approach one of these companies takes, see if it's something that matches your own company's goals for the sales rep, and then look at their references when you interview them to see if there's a match for the trainers in your world.

Follow Jeb Blounts stuff - lot of easily digestible content and applicable easy books.

I’m a fan of Jason Bay. There’s also Justin Michael (and another dude that works/worked with him, name with a P), but I don’t find their approach as “deep” or nuanced.
