Any TQL Survivors in here?

Just seeing if anyone else got out of that place with their soul and mental well being intact (mostly).

I spent a over a year there and drank the koolaid HARD. At the end of it I really questioned myself as a sales rep. So much so I got out of sales for about 9 months driving a forklift.

Me! Holy shit that was the worst experience of my life. I switched into Saas and my life got a thousand times better. That company is absolutely toxic

Yeah I mean I did too.ย  It's a lot of work with very little to show for it. Attrition rate has to be in the high 80s.ย

It did teach me how to be more relentless in cold calling though.ย

Where do I begin? The recruiters tell you will make six figures within 3 years easily. What they don't tell you it's nearly impossible to land an account(s) where that will happen.ย

First 5 months as a trainee you are basically a brokers bitch. Doing all the load covering, dealing with carriers, etc. You're also expected to be learning how to prospect during this time which depending on your broker, you may have a lot or very little time to do so. If you don't hit a certain revenue goal during that 5 month period you're fired.ย

About the only way to get a big account there is to kiss the GSMs ass and wait for an existing broker's account to become available (i.e. fired, quit) and it be gifted to you.ย

They preach this whole "Hard work is rent and it's due every day" BS but it's all in who you kiss up to.ย

I could go on but it'd be a damn novel. I legit have mild PTSD from that place.ย

Only good thing about my time there was I became friends with a few people that helped me land my current sales job which is fantastic.ย
