Been noticing a lot of censorship and gaslighting from the mainstream media recently. Lots of half truths and people beating around the bush rather than having honest conversations and considering all sides. I'm not saying I'm for or against anything and I understand this isn't a political forum, but I do wonder how people are coping with all the uncertainty and polarization happening in modern day society.
Personally, I've been trying to write more, read books, and listen to people who I think ask thought provoking questions and follow the truth (So far none of these people have been found on a mainstream network, but instead on platforms like Youtube and Spotify). Exercise also helps, but it's been pretty cold up here in Boston so might need to get back in action on this platform and see if I can win a Peloton ๐คฃ. I joke, but the reason I bring this up is because somedays I feel an existential dread that makes cold calling strangers the last thing I want to do.
Anyways, not sure I'm looking for any specific answer. Would love to hear what is providing people hope at the moment.
For me it has been getting a real Christmas tree for the first time as an adult. Working from home smells so much better with my tree in the living room.
