Yeah I feel you on this one. I feel like all I do is sit around inside all day because Iโ€™m still remote then after work Iโ€™m still here. My one break is the gym and the weekends.ย

Yeah that is hard. Outside of sales I carry a small private therapy practice, almost all my adult clients have been struggling without clear lines set up anymore. The ones who seem to be doing the best with it are ones that made up their own breaks and variety to their day. For example, taking a walk as a "commute" before logging on or not letting yourself do personal chores during work time. Minor things that can help build some sense of separation between work and life.ย

I signed a more expensive lease with less space for the huge upside of being one T stop from the office a week before the shutdowns started. My apartment feels more like a jail cell at this pointย

Same. Got laid off, grabbed a new job thinking covid would end. 21 minutes door to door on the subway through Boston. Now it doesn't matter. SMH and I'm still sitting here at home

Yup, I have a vacation lined up for a few weeks from now and am so excited.

I'm so sick of every conversation revolving around covid, restrictions, and vaccines. Sick of social distancing, masks, and even the smallest of errands being a giant pain in the ass. Sick of not getting to have sales celebrations, lunch with my co workers, or meeting up at a restaurant for a meal.ย

Yup, I am. Been crushing sales all pandemic and have definitely been working more from home than when I'm in the office.

I actually miss the road events, travelling to new cities, dining on the company card, meeting new and interesting people while generating leads at the same time.

I'm taking 2 weeks to move early in June and need it. Just learned we have another kid on the way, so life will not be slowing down anytime soon. I know I'm fortunate in that I have the best reasons to succeed.

If you can afford it, take a 2 week vacation.ย  If you can't try 1 week and if you can't afford that take at least a few days to unplug and drive somewhere cheap and camp or something to get away and decompress.ย  Read, listen to music, hike, do whatever you like to totally untether for a few days and turn all the work dingleys off.

Yup, I totally feel you. Still working remote, it's so hard to not work ALL the time.ย

I'd always be the last person at the office, but when i left the office work STOPPED. Now that i've been working at home for over a year with my computer right near me, i don't log off until 10pm most nights. Sometimes later.

I've fully accepted that sales is no 9-5 job; and there's ALWAYS more that i can do/be doing. But lately it has been taking a toll. It's one thing to recognize I'm overworking myself, but another thing to do something about it. With a lot of things going on in work/personal life like most of us, i still find it hard to take my foot off the gas each day.

Definitely. It's hard when you're in your home, not feeding off the energy that's going on around you.ย  Golf and exercise have been the best thing for me to do.ย  Allows my mind to focus on other things for a little bit.
