Agree, that's why most of them are just taking it as a temporary job and a step to either have a fair commish structure later or a better opportunity somewhere else!
That is only for a management role, where you are building the process and then will get a team under you to do the actual BDR work. At which point, you will be getting variable comp. Otherwise, the role is BS and for those that are bad or desperate.

I applied for a role like this and I'm so happy I didn't get it. The comp is the whole point of sales and without it, you're just an ordertaker working an email job imo
