Anyone have a positive experience in the PLG market?

Hey all,

The company I work for is getting ready to shift from an enterprise sales model to a self-serve, PLG model. Has anyone else done this as well? If so, how'd it turnout? Was it easier to gain new customers? How was the outreach changed?

Thanks!

we made the switch at the start of '21. definitely a different strategy for me as an AE. for SDR's at our company, we've consolidated the team and made the majority of SDR's rebrand to product specialists. Prod specialists are responsible for educating prospects and helping drive the self serve experience with tips/tricks, consult calls, etc.

for SDR's, there's definitely been a struggle to get meetings. from what I understand, the CTA's have switched from "let's jump on a meeting" to "here, I've put together a free trial of our product"

Our SDR's have done a really great job of pivoting and getting creative by setting up custom trials, recording custom videos for prospects and pushing more social selling. Overall, the company is seeing improved revenue growth and an increase in new logos, so all positive!
