Anyone have experience interviewing with AWS?

If all goes as it seems to I may have an opportunity to interview with AWS. Anyone have any interview tips beyond what they provide (STAR format, ALP-based responses, etc.)?

Thanks savages!

Probably the dude that posted in here yesterday about negotiating an offer from AWS. Search it, DM him. Or just scroll the "new" tab.

AWS is VERY BIG on the STAR format. So learn it. Otherwise, its pretty straight forward.

I did have a friend interview there and many questions were data driven. asking for specific numbers and how you helped increase them.

thats probably not helpful but thought i would share haha

I interviewed with Amazon Business earlier this year, and made it to the last round before withdrawing (I didnโ€™t like the role or manager).

Thereโ€™s tons of YouTube videos on STAR method. questions for the interviews at Amazon. They dug pretty deep into my resume, and asked a lot about what data I used (they asked about 6 questions for each example). I would write out some of your responses and have some data to back it up.

Had a couple of friends join. Itโ€™s a very standardised process. Most of the time it goes recruiter > peer interview > hiring manager interview > loop (4-6 hour long interviews) > offer. Glassdoor interview reviews have heaps of example questions. If itโ€™s a sales role, make sure you have stories with metrics backing them up, and not just โ€œI brought in a deal worth Xโ€. Customer obsession is a big thing for them. Be ready to articulate the value proposition of AWS as well.

Give me direct questions and I'll answer what they're exactly looking for. What part of AWS? What L are you applying for?

What stage are you on? Assessment? Phone screen? Loop?
