Anyone of you sales savages have an email you use when a deal is stalling out?

Not a break up email, but something to create some kind of urgency or to get some context on what the reason for the stall is or where we're at?

Am I fucked and cut my losses?

From Never Split the Difference by Chris Voss:

Asking a “No”-oriented question that suggests that you are prepared to walk away:

Example: “Have you given up on paying off the remainder of the projects?”

Simple one-sentence email. When human disagree by saying “No”, it provides them an illusion of safety and control. They feel less threatened and more in the driving seat.

I had a question about Chriss Voss I see yoy are using him in your commentary care to share your experience there? As the polls show not many are convinced and the insight you shared is pretty good.

Yeah good question! I think this isn't necessarily a way to turn a deal around, it's more a tactic to get a concrete reply from a contact who's not responding.

The goal of the "No"-oriented question isn't 100% to get the answer you want, it's more a way to push the conversation forward by being direct. It makes it very easy for them to respond and keep the conversation alive. Then, once you get a response, then you're able to either (1) work towards closing the deal, (2) handle objections, or (3) move on and nurture the account until the timing is better. Hope that makes sense!

Totally second this.
Going for "no" doesn't exclusively turn the deal around but it's great at reopening the dialogue.

Can confirm the "have you given up on project x" (from Chris Voss) works well.
Thanks @sebs for posting.

I usually try following up by phone first and then if I can't get a call back, I'll send an email. I find I have more success with phone follow ups.

There is always a slim chance to turn it around, maybe not in your target timeline but yea. Push for whatsapp or a call, use a different number.

Hey John, I talk to God every day. I'm wondering why you don't return my calls.  (this works every single time)
