Anyone use Apollo for prospecting/ calling out?

I have a very bad CSM at Apollo who has no experience as a BDR. I'm curious about workflows (used sales loft in the past ). Hoping for some tips and tricks

There is a lot of posts on Apollo already. Search for it in the search bar and you should find some solid feedback

I love Apollo and use it so much they invited me to be a part of their advisory board--not sure what that means yet. But it depends what you're trying to get out of it. I've created "plays" that automatically prospect my ICP and create tasks for me. I've disabled all tracking because I don't really care if they open it, just that they respond and it's improved my conversions.

the sourcing I can handle its more so outbound cold calling, I cant find an efficient workflow. I feel like I am clicking back and fourth so many times. Using salesloft I could make 30 dials in an hour and with apollo I am making 5 in an hour (I am new to it so I know that will change )

I want to be able to call someone's mobile number appears as a local number then toggle off that local number when calling a direct so it doesn't look like the same number is calling them twice (even tho I am)

I also want to be able to have reply in the A/B testing like A replied to A and B reply to B

I can think of more but that's what I have top of mind rn

Apollo - yes, current user of data enrichment, recently abandoned their workflow cadence side. Account downgraded. I've spam burned two domains even with warmed up mailboxes and SPF, DKIM and DMARK configured.

I find their Hubspot integration spotty and their sequence structure clunky. If you're stuck with it and really need help, their support is there, you just have to fight for it.

Was easier for me to just work across platforms from Hubspot an build my own targeted sequences.

damn! we locked in the contract about a month ago. I'm doing cold outbound sales and the features just arent there. I admit I am a Salesloft person its clean looking, doesn't over promise and does what it needs to do.

Apollo seems to be trying to do all the things at once and none of them very well. I can not find outbound calling workflow videos for SDRs. Very frustrating .

Data is as good as any I've played with, so I use it for enrichment purposes. Price is right for the info too. I see it the same way. It does everything, but nothing particularly well. I'm sure it can be made to work. Just watch the domains and if you start mail blasting, make sure your boxes are warm... not too many identical subject lines, etc. Keep it human for a while. Good luck..

We use a competitor of Apollo but have heard good things about it! Based on their pricing it seems like they're a more affordable solution. Some of the competitor tools have really good academy videos, so could be helpful to watch those if Apollo doesn't offer something along those lines

They are super basic but get the job done. Their support org is complete trash, though.
