Anything worse the losing your Airpods???

So,

I had to fly out for work and was in a huge rush because of traffic.

Getting out of the cab and my airpods must have slipped out of my pocket because once I boarded the flight I looked at the Iphone and it said "device left behind" sure enough the airpods last location was on the passneger dropoff blacktop...

At that point it was game over.

SO FRUSTRATING...

Oh damn, right before a flight is one of the worst times for this to happen.

At least, with the tracking, you have closure and know they gone. Beats thinking you might have them SOMEWHERE and tearing everything apart.

RIP Airpods. Here's some commish to help you get some new ones

The exact reason why I want a headphone jack on my phone. Wired headphones are much harder to lose and I dont have to go fishing around under my desk if one side falls out of my ear.

Also team wired head phones! I will pass out on a flight 100% of the time and I got tired of waking up to one headphone because the other had fallen out onto the floor. Plus don't have to charge them, connect to blue tooth, they're basically fool proof

I had a recent trip to NY in which I left my phone cord at home, bought a new one at the airport, left that one on the plane, bought a new one on arrival, left that one and my brick at a happy hour I hosted, and had to buy a new cord and brick at the airport on the way home. Spent probably $120 on cords/bricks because my lizard brain couldnโ€™t just remember to put it in my bag.

Losing 1 AirPod is far worse. Not sure if itโ€™s true or not, but heard of someone dropping one on their flight and now realizing it until hours later. Pull up Find My and one is with them in NY and other appeared to be on its way back to Europe.

Would it have been worse if you walked to your seat, sorted out your stuff and you had lost them within your vicinity on the actual packed airplane. Or would you just slow the take off until said airpods are recovered from beneath someones feet.

At my past job we had issues with wireless headphones and using softphone diallers to make cold calls. Anybody have experience using airpods with a Macbook Pro for calls?
