What are the odds his own companyโs sales department does exactly this? ๐ค

I have friends who work there. They pay a ton to seasoned sales people. What a jokeโฆ.

He turned off comments like a coward, and then doubled down in a follow up post. Definitely worth the look at the profile to read the entirety of this rant + the follow up.

The follow up is emblematic of a man who has never been challenged in his life.

What a fucking knob. I bet he yells at the TV and writes down the names of all the advertisers so he can boycott them.
Gotta live his follow-up rant.. There's no way this guy drove $300M+ in sales, either 'directly or indirectly'.
In summary - GET FUCKED, LEE

I actually LOL'd at the last statement. Thanks for a good belly jiggler after doing expense reports.

Why would he say this on LinkedIn while working at Oracle, where 100s of SDRs are going to see this

Legendary move would be for one or many SDRs to just stop cold outreach this week and use โLee said it was badโ as their excuse.

Ok someone HAS to have done this. If not a SDR what about their VP of Sales?! But the fact that he doubled down tells me everything I need to know

So, basically, to sell something, don't sell it?

Never outbound and do business strictly based on referrals (which would be awesome if it was a viable way to exceed quota, but we live in reality.)

Tell it to the CEO in your board meeting! You would get an ex-board member tagline to put on Linkedin then

Iโve never purchased an oracle product, deleted 3 unsolicited emails from them this week. Does he think heโd have a job without the millions of cold outreach messages going out from Oracleโs sales team?

LOL - Any time a CISO get's an attitude with me related to 'selling', I just remember that there is a whole list of 3-letter-agencies just WAITING to pound them out when their 'good enough' strategy finally collapses on itself because they don't meaningfully engage with vendors / partners to stay on top of things.

2 questions 1.) being the CSO CISO CTO how important does he need to feel? 2.) how big is his company and what is their gtm strategy?

Playing devils advocate here (cuz this guy clearly is a douche who thinks he is awesome) - think about what % of the cold emails/calls he has gotten haven't sucked? I'm sure as a CISO he is getting literally hundreds per day, and most are from lazy sellers who have half a story to pitch.
