We basically are. I don't like to get into the whole Sales>Marketing conversation, but I am talking to prospects everyday. I know what resonates with them, so I began making my own content a long time ago and never looked back. I have used things like UpWork to get help to create content as well. Salespeople are the ones who can truly create content that we know will resonate with prospects.

All 3 companies I've worked for have asked me to share their content on my LinkedIn. I said no every time. I've also seen the rise of video prospecting apps like Vidyard.

Just got Vidyard for my team. Really excited to use it. I used to record Zooms by myself an email them out. Vidyard seems much more efficient

You have to build your brand in the internet-discovery powered world we live in. It's not whether SP are content creators...it's either you create content or you don't exist.

Not saying it's the way it should be. It's just the way it is. 

Look at Cathie Wood. Chamath. They are redefining the game as far as investing is concerned. And they are doing it via social media.

Writing or creating content is super helpful as a sales rep. If I spend a large portion of my week writing email copy, creating content relevant to my product or industry makes my outreach much more engaging. 

On top of that, if someone checks out your LinkedIn and sees content that's interesting to them, they're more likely to take you seriously. Many many benefits.
