Are there any US companies looking for remote AE/BDR outside of the US

I'm an US Citizen who lives in Venezuela looking for a remote job as an Account Executive or Business Development Representative.

If you have read something about Venezuela, you might know that the economic situation is pretty difficult, the hyperinflation mixed with the low paid jobs makes life kind of impossible, but, as an US Citizen I've been trying to find a Remote Job in US Companies that could offer better salaries, but everytime that I get to an interview, the companies stops the process just because i'm outside of the US.

Is living outside of the US a real problem? Or am I just looking in the wrong direction?

Any recommendations on what to do or companies that don't care where you are based are very appreciated!

While Sahil thinks companies should hire globally, most US-based companies with a North American focus will never find in advantage in doing that.

I saw his rant today on that. I agree with you.

You might want to look at US based companies that have teams either based in South America or focused on South America. They'd want you selling into that space, so being in the region should be a benefit. Many of the larger companies are set up to have a global employee team already.

The problem you'll most likely face is the same problem many other job seekers are facing now, and that's the overall market. Hiring is down, and many companies have hiring freezes or slowdowns in place. However, continue to look for openings and apply to companies that fit your profile.

Yes!

I've already applied to a bunch of them! Do you have any recommendations on Different websites besides LinkedIn or Indeed to find these kind of jobs?

The job descriptions will tell you. Search - remote.

That’s a hard one. I know there are, but those are just outsourcing companies that pay per meeting. The quality tends to be bad (from my experience). You can always try though

I wouldn't say problem. Just need to find the right company willing to take a chance.

Keep applying. Make sure your LinkedIn is optimized to be found by recruiters. Set job alerts (remote only obviously).

Curious, how long have you lived in Venezuela? Any issues?

"Take a chance" is not really how global hiring works unless you want to pay for a platform to deal with the filing for you. That is expensive and time consuming.

Also, there are many issues over here, but I’m not ready to leave!

My whole family lives here, so leaving them and going to the US it’s something difficult!

Actually I was born in Venezuela! Been living here for almost 28 years.

My mom was born in the US, so I had the opportunity to get the US Citizenship.

Remote, yes. International, much harder.

Same sit here except that I'm not American,I would recommend you to try to findrelevant roles from US companies that hire globally on FB, as I noticed dozens of those ads daily, and I believe being a US citizen should get you an advantage!
