I mean... I thought getting triggered at that was normal...

When people do that I have to restrain myself from leaving them a Liam Neeson in Taken style voicemail

“SIGN THE CONTRACT” is something people who have lived with me know well.

I have a particular set of skills and unless you want spam like you've never seen spam before I recommend giving me that John Hancock sooner rather than later

YES. This is one of the most infuriating things, especially when they've already seen the document and have verbally agreed. Like wtf r u waiting for dawg c'mon!!!!

yes! I send it via PDF for review first, always. And sometimes we've had calls to walk through it. Our contracts are also pretty simple, lol. (I came from real estate where we're looking at 30 page docs.)

What's worse is when you see it is signed by 2/3 people that are required to sign, and the third one opens is several times. Usually, some Jerry in Procurement is going through a 174 point checklist like they're CPOing a Land Rover.

FUCKING JERRY. It's always a Tom or Jerry in procurement that's like, "ermmm no we need a different tense of the word "activate" here"

For everyone wondering... the signature came in while I was 3 drinks in at happy hour! The name continues to fit.

Lol don’t yell at me guys… but as a buyer, I admit I do do that 🙈 I start reading the doc and esp if it had length legalese language, I sometimes get distracted or have a meeting to jump to. Also there’s been enough times where I’ve found mistakes in the terms or something where I need the rep to fix, that I can’t just sign without reading the whole doc.

I’ll do better next time though!

Triggers for sure. What's the problem client? You literally just agreed to all of this verbally - just sign the thing! Argh, :)

Nah, opening is a good sign. Means they're progressing it. If it's unsigned after a few days I just follow up.

I’m on the same boat. After they’ve opened, it’s a 95% chance of closing. You can always follow up via email

How do you get around someone saying they can sign off on this knowing they can’t

Anyone ruined getting a meeting by being too impatient after they suggest times but don't confirm straight away?

How do you all handle a situation where a prospect has a contract approved and is ready for signature, but one of their family members just passed away? Want to be extremely sensitive to the situation...feel there's never a "right" time to reach out and never want to be salesy...
